Start the new year learning new things - Join us on for this special Kizomba class featuring talented female guest instructors from across the US who will be in town for Lucia Nogueira's Kizomba Teacher Training course. Whether you want to learn Kizomba for the first time or improve what you've already learned, this class will focus on Kizomba foundations, proper technique and body movements for dancing Kizomba, and fun combinations to enhance your social dancing!

Kizomba Semba Instensive feat Lucia Nogueira - Wed Jan 10, 2018
Join Kizomba RDU as we bring one of the most sought after international Kizomba & Semba artists to the Raleigh-Durham area. We are excited to have the one and only, very talented and knowledgeable "Semba Queen" Lucia Nogueira (Portugal) in the area again for workshops, dancing and fun! This will be an intensive workshop aimed to push and challenge you as a dancer. This workshop is for both LEADS and FOLLOWS. Open to all levels. No Partner necessary
7:00pm - 8:30pm: Kizomba Intensive
8:30pm - 10:00pm: Semba Intensive
Note: Salsa/Ballroom shoes are not required. Wear comfortable shoes that do not grip the floor. Sneakers are not recommended for this workshop.

Ladies, this one is for you! Let's explore and unlock your "GINGA" with a night of BUNDAS & COCKTAILS
Kizomba is a sensual style of dance and music heating things up on the dance floor! With origins from Angola, Kizomba is focused on the connection between you, your partner and the music. The goal of this workshop is to feel feminine and beautiful while dancing and gain confidence to reveal and develop your own style for dancing Kizomba and Semba socially.
7:00pm - 8:00pm: Ginga/Body Movement Class with Lucia
8:00pm - 9:00pm: Tarraxinha Class with Kimberly Nicole
9:00pm - until - cocktails, girl talk, and laughs!

This night is for all levels and introduces basic female body movement and styling that will focus on:
- Musicality and feeling the movement in Kizomba/Semba Basic steps
- Ladies Body Movement for Kizomba/Semba Basics and Kizomba Walk to develop your own "Ginga"
- Tarraxinha Body isolations and excerices to take away to practice at home
- Tips on how to be an active follower
Cost: $20 - includes cocktails/wine. Mocktails will be available as well for non-drinkers.
