Kizomba RDU is back from break and ready to continue to spread the "Kizomba Love" in the Raleigh/Durham area. Join us on Sundays this Fall to learn to dance Kizomba Oct 23 - Nov 13 

We are excited to have guest instructor Tboy Peleve of Paris join us for our Fall classes while he is visiting the States! We will cover footwork technique and patterns designed to fit your progression and to give you a well rounded Kizomba experience.

Please note: Kizomba RDU classes are not designed to be "levels" in which you pass one to get to the next. Kizomba RDU classes are comprehensive classes that teach new technique and concepts each cycle to give well-rounded instruction for dancing Kizomba/Semba socially.

KIzomba I: Foundations 
Instructor: Kimberly Nicole

For Beginner to Advanced Beginner levels. No experience necessary. This class is designed to introduce brand new students to the dance, while also strengthening existing newer dancers in their fundamentals. This class will emphasize Kizomba foundations, proper technique, body movement, musicality, and leading & following exercises for dancing Kizomba Semba socially. This level will be thorough and challenging for all participants.

Dates: Sundays - Oct 23, Oct 30, Nov 6, Nov 13 

Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm | 1 hr class + 30 min practica

Kizomba II: Improvers* 
Instructor(s): Tboy Peleve + Kimberly Nicole

For Advanced Beginner to Intermediate levels. 2 Hours of instruction with TBoy PeLeve to help level us up! Must have previous Kizomba experience (6 months+) and must be comfortable with Kizomba basics, musicality, saidas, and saida combinations. This class will emphasize proper technique, body movement, Saida technique & drills, and advanced musicality for dancing Kizomba and Semba socially. Prerequisite: Kizomba I Foundations 

*Approval needed by instructor prior to registration. Please do not register for Kizomba II without prior approval.

Time: 4:30pm - 6:30pm | 2 Hours of instruction

Kimberly Nicole Bio:

Kimberly Nicole is the founder and Director of Kizomba RDU based out of Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, and has been instrumental in growth of the Kizomba dance scene across the Carolinas. She was first introduced to Kizomba in 2012 while attending a festival in Toronto. Since then she has traveled extensively to learn and train from some of the best Kizomba instructors from around the world, most recently training with Mestre Petchu and Vanessa (Portugual) and Lucia Nogueira. She has certificates in Kizomba and Semba dancing, and has over 120 hours in instructor training. Kimberly Nicole is known for sharing her knowledge and passion of sensual body movements in a fun and enjoyable way. She has taught Kizomba and Tarraxinha workshops in some of the best Latin and Kizomba Dance festivals across the Southeast including Charlotte Salsa Invitational, Columbia Salsa Summit, Queen City Kizomba Festival and Sawa Sawa Kizomba Festival. She teaches weekly classes, holds socials and host events with visiting instructors in the Raleigh/Durham area.

TBoy PeLeve Bio

Kizomba/Semba teacher in Paris, France. TBoy met kizomba in 2009-2010 in Paris. he developed his skills and competences on Kizomba & Semba in the best school in Paris, “Centre Momboye and Pénatchon”. TBoy started to teach in 2013 thanks to Lucia Nogueira and performed in different countries such as several times in United Kingdom, Jersey island and France. He also performed at the international MSC Cruise on the atlantic ocean in 2014.

Today he teaches Kizomba/Semba weekly at Salsabor, famous school in Paris, France. He also partner up in 2014 with Victor de Sousa named Victor Kizomba.fr who is one of the first kizomba teacher in France since 2009.. Additionally, T boy is the leader of "Semba na Rua" in Paris. Semba na rua is a project of dancing in the different open places in Paris in order to dance freely and show to the public these dances coming from africa. As well as Pé Leve’s, a dance project based in Paris founded with the purpose of keeping the tradition of Kizomba alive in France.

Through his way in the kizomba, he had the pleasure of performing and teaching with Ms. Nogueira. Inspired and trained by  the best dancers teachers in the kizomba scene such Dilson, Puto chinez and Tecas, Tboy developped his own style. Now he is willing to share his passion, dance skills and knowledge with us to make us dance kizomba and Semba.

He taught in differents country such England, Belgium, Jersey Island, Poland, Germany, Portugal, USA and in Differents places in France
